The setting introduced in this anime series is quite unique as these two mortal enemies are trapped in modern Japan. And along the way, they develop a special kind of bond. Emi Yusa, the hero, started to know the real Satan, Sadao Maou. He is far different from the demon lord he wants to kill back in their original world. Will their impromptu truce lead to them being friends or even more?

4. The 7 Deadly Sins
The love story of this anime highlights the couple Meliodas and Elizabeth. Meliodas is the captain of the famous powerful group called the 7 Deadly Sins. This group is known to be able to take down an entire kingdom army.
5. High School DxD
We all have our fair share of fun High School memories. But I’m sure they are all nothing compared to what Issei Hyodo and his friends can share. Don’t get me wrong though, Issei is not the ideal prince charming or knight in shining armor. He is basically a stupid pervert. His goal is to become the harem king. Despite all of this, there are still a few people who believe in his potential.
And he did not disappoint them. Issei slowly climbed from being a low-rank devil to becoming one of the strongest in their school. Asia, his party’s healer, played a major role in his success. She is attracted to Issei to the point that she would be jealous every time he flirts with another girl. Although Issei only sees her as one of the many girls he wants to belong to his harem, their relationship is somewhat special.
Who knows someday Issei would have a change of heart and only devote his heart only to Asia?
6. Chrono Crusade
A demon and a nun is a weird pair. Nonetheless, it clicked in Chrono Crusade. Their relationship was supposed to be like that of a slave and a master but it turned out to be something more special. Rosette Christopher, the nun, needed Chrono’s power in order to save her brother. Chrono, the demon, on the other hand, is searching for his true identity and is in a constant struggle against his true nature.
Although he is a demon, Chrono is gentle and kind. He is loyal and would do anything to protect Rosette. The anime showed a few hints that their relationship has already gone past friendship but it was not given enough time to materialize. I’m about to spoil the show so skip this if you are planning to watch Chrono Crusade for the first time. They both die in the end after failing to save Rosette’s brother.
It’s such a tragic ending. Nevertheless, it’s not just all about what happened in the end but mostly in between. Their struggles together made their relationship stronger and it can serve as a reminder for new couples out there to never give up and always fight for the love they share.
7. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha
Have you ever thought what happens after the demon king is defeated? Do you expect every chaos around the world to end in an instant which would lead the way to peace and prosperity? If your answer is yes then you’re probably reading too many fairy tales. It’s not the case. In fact, it’s the other way around.
The demon army won’t stop just because their leader is dead. Moreover, other people corrupted by greed will eventually take the place of the demon king’s role. The hero in the anime Maoyuu Maou Yuusha realized this when he reached the demon king palace. He decided to work with the demon king which is actually a woman so she is technically a queen.
The demon queen is far from the ugly and wicked creature everyone imagines her to be. She is beautiful, kind, and rational. So it’s not surprising that the hero slowly falls in love with her as they both embark on a journey to help the struggling kingdom and make it a better place for everyone.

8. Blue Exorcist
The story of Blue Exorcist centers on Satan’s two sons who were raised in our world. The older one Yukio Okumura ended up as a completely normal person but his younger brother, Rin Okumura, was different. He inherited a demonic power specifically the ability to conjure blue flames. This is probably the main reason behind the anime show’s title since Rin aspires to be a good exorcist just like his older brother.
So where’s the romance in this Blue Exorcist? You might not see it in the first episodes but Rin’s female friends Shiemi Moriyama and Kamiki Izumo have special feelings toward Rin. They may not be expressive about it but it’s obvious that they see Rin as a man worth being with for the rest of their lives.
9. Rosario+Vampire
Would you go as far as enrolling in a Yokai Academy just to finish school? This is what Tsukune Aono did after he wasn’t able to get into the local high schools. The Yokai Academy is not only dangerous for humans but they also do not allow humans to be enrolled in their school.
Such an act is punishable by death so Tsukune is trying his best to hide his true identity. His stay in the monster school would have been harder if not for Moka Akashiya. She is a powerful vampire who is also Tsukune’s first friend in the school. Moka always helps Tsukune whenever he finds himself in a bad spot.
Despite being a normal human, Tsukune does not back down to any challenge especially if it involves a pretty woman in distress. But it’s obvious that no matter how many he ends up saving, his heart belongs to only one, Moka.

10. Yu Yu Hakusho
Love in anime is not hard to find. This is because fans love it when they see their favorite anime characters fall in love with each other despite all the challenging circumstances around them. I think this stems from the fact that we want their love to bloom despite all odds and it inspires us to fight for love as well in real life.
Yu Yu Hakusho may be a classic anime but it is still one of the most well-known and loved today. It follows the life of Yusuke and his adventures in both the real world and the afterlife where demons rule. All throughout the series, it is depicted that he is in love with his childhood sweetheart, Keiko. They were simply close friends at school in the beginning but their relationship was taken to another level when Yusuke died. Yusuke was raised from the dead at the expense of being a detective of the underworld’s governing body. He was tasked to battle the most powerful demons in a competition and to maintain the world’s balance in the underworld.
His last and most dangerous mission yet took years. Despite all this, Keiko patiently waited for his return. This kind of love, although it’s not in real life, is beautiful to watch.

Anime shows about Otakus like us are common but Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai took this genre to the next level. They added more humor and pretty ladies to the equation creating an anime series that Otakus and casual anime fans would equally enjoy. The story is about Keima Katsuragi. He is a certified Otaku who is known for being the best in capturing girls in virtual simulation games. The problem is that his skills and experience in girls are only limited to the virtual world. As the series progressed he finds himself in the middle of a mission to collect souls trapped in real girls in order to save his own life. He desperately used his dating game knowledge for this purpose and it went well. What he did not expect was to fall in love with Chihiro. He tried to stop his feelings but his efforts are futile. When love struck, it is unstoppable. And it appears this rule is applicable not just in real life but in the anime world too.
Beelzebub
Would you still love someone who currently has heavy responsibilities and simply can’t focus all his attention and love towards you? What if it’s a baby? And on top of that, the son of Satan himself? That’s got to be hard for a woman to fall in love with such a guy right? This challenge was wholeheartedly taken by Hilda. She is the adoptive mother and wet nurse of Beelzebub IV, one of the main protagonists in this anime series. Tatsumi Oga is the young lad who adopted her master in our world.
She disapproved of the idea at first and belittles Oga’s capability as a parent. But everything changed when Oga successfully protected the child from a strong adversary. She even thanked him afterward which is contrary to her usual cold personality. As their story went on, Hilda suffered from amnesia. In this state, her treatment toward Oga took a completely different route. She is now appreciative of Oga’s efforts as a parent and even blushes whenever she is near him.
Is this really love or just a result of her condition? Regardless of what it is, it’s fun to see how a cat and dog relationship blooms into a sweet and romantic one.
Black Butler
Romance is not limited between opposite sexes. Our society evolved over the years and gender orientation went along with it. In fact, there’s a worldwide community composed of individuals who prefer the same sex as a partner. Although it is not obviously portrayed, it’s nice to see that anime shows like Black Butler feature same-sex relationships. In the mentioned anime show, Sebastian Michaelis, the demon butler, shares a special relationship with his master Ciel Phantomhive.
There are times when the butler manifests common demon traits like being unforgiving, brutal, and uncaring but he never fails to protect his master. Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru
What would you do if the woman you love in the past is reincarnated as a man? Would you still love her? This is the question Luka Crosszeria, a strong and handsome demon and one of the main protagonists of the anime show Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru needs to answer. And his action defied the expectations of many. He decided to stay beside the love of his life Yuki Giou and take care of him just like before.
Luka is the only one aware of their past so they are currently sharing an awkward relationship. Yuki’s power relies on the light which is contrary to demons like Luka yet they trust and help each other every time an enemy arises. But Luka doesn’t want to be healed by Yuki every time he is injured since he knows that it causes him pain.
This alone proves how much he cares for Yuki and that his love for him transcends beyond gender.
Yumekui Merry
Are you a dreamer? I have a friend who dreams a lot and she shares her amazing dreams often making me very obvious. It’s been a while since I had one and I’m looking forward to one as long as it doesn’t turn into a nightmare halfway. The anime show Yumekui Merry is all about dreams. The story is simple but unique and there’s a sprinkle of romance and comedy every now and then making it very entertaining.
It features the dynamic duo composed of the gifted Yumeji Fujiwara and the kind dream demon Merry Nightmare. The two of them needs to collect various clues and fight off other evil dream demons to find a way for Merry Nightmare to return to the dream world.
Shuffle!
Being in love with your childhood best friend is a common story. However, this kind of relationship does not always go well. There are cases where the boy is indecisive or the girl develops feelings toward another boy as they grow older. In the anime show Shuffle!, Rin Tsuchimi and Kaede Fuyou struggled to keep their relationship as childhood friends because of a bad experience.
It’s obvious that they like each other but the bad memory that links them together makes it almost impossible for their friendship to bloom into love. Moreover, since Rin is kind and caring for the girls he meets along the way easily fell in love with him. Will they be given the chance to express their feelings? Or will this be another romantic anime series with a sad ending?

Hagure Yuusha no Estetica
How can you love someone who killed your father? If you want a good answer, ask Miu Osawa. She is the daughter of the demon king slain by the hero Akatsuki Osawa. To the defense of the hero, he is simply doing his job. And he even granted the demon king’s last wish which is for him to look after his daughter. Miu posed as Akatsuki’s younger sister so no one would question why they are living together. Despite Akatsuki’s pure intentions, it was not easy for Miu to forgive him.
Nevertheless, her feelings toward Akatsuki slowly changed every time he saves her from one predicament to another. Akatsuki might be abusive to other girls and very prideful but his courage, loyalty, and care towards the people he loves are unrivaled. He is the hero for a reason, right?

The Testament of Sister New Devil
In most cases, it’s the servant’s duty to protect the master but it’s the other way around in the anime show The Testament of Sister New Devil. Basara Toujou, the hero, tied Mio Naruse in a slave contract. It was only recently that Mio became aware of her origin. But it was not a problem for Basara. Her magical powers are strong but still not enough to protect her from the current demon king and his minions.
This is where Basara comes in the picture. As the successor of the Hero Clan, he is confident of his skills and he would do anything within his means to protect Mio. Why would a hero do so? Of course, it’s because of the power of love; a love that defies both race and duty!
I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job
A hero trains in preparation for the day he faces the demon lord. This is why the Hero School was founded. It serves as a training ground for heroes so they won’t end up as sacrificial lambs for the demon lord and its army. But what if somebody already defeated the demon lord? What would happen to the students? Raul Chaser fell to this tricky situation so he decided to look for a job aside from being a hero. Coincidentally, he met the deceased demon lord’s daughter Phino Bloodstone along the way.
The duo struggles to live and work normally. Nevertheless, they always find a way out of every problem with the help of each other. And of course, a special kind of relationship is blooming between the two without them noticing.
Kyo Kara Maoh!
Another boy to boy romance here so heads up! This anime show is really entertaining not just because of its funny characters but mainly due to the truckloads of comic relief it brings on the table. They usually focus on the two male characters who are engaged Shibuya Yuuri and Wolfram von Bielefelt. Yuri is the 27th demon king of Shin Makoku while Wolfram is the youngest son of the former demon king.
They were rivals at first but everything changed when Yuri defeated Wolfram in a duel. From that day on, Wolfram vowed to be Yuri’s most loyal aid. Wolfram is obvious about showing how he feels toward Yuri. He turns jealous when a beautiful girl or handsome boy approaches Yuri. He also shows up in Yuri’s room without prior notice just to surprise him or check his well-being.
If that’s not sweet, I don’t know what is. If you’re a fan of this kind of romance then this anime is a must-watch!
Rage of Bahamut: Genesis
Have you been friend zoned? Is it cruel? Well, ask Favaro Leone from Rage of Bahamut: Genesis if you want tips on how to get over from such kind of experience. As a bounty hunter, he accepted Amira’s proposal. What he thought of as a normal work relationship turned out to be something more special later on. It was supposed to be just an escort service but he slowly developed feelings towards Amira as they escape one dangerous situation after another. Amira’s personality also changed after spending time with Favaro.
She was once a recluse and finds it hard to trust people. We can’t blame her because of it is a result of her dark past. Nonetheless, Favaro’s laid back and quirky personality go through her. She made a friend for the first time which changed Amira’s view of life as a whole. That it’s not just all about despair and struggles but it can also be fun and exciting at times.
Berserk
What type of girl are you looking for? Are you into the shy ones? Or those who can fight back and would never back down in an argument? Guts from Berserk will surely prefer the latter. He is one of the strongest members of the Band of Hawks. The gang forced him to join at first but he did it willingly after being beaten by their leader, Griffith. Guts and Casca’s love story did not start right away.
It was not love at first sight by any means. In fact, Casca did not approve the idea of recruiting Guts. Nevertheless, the hands of faith brought them closer to each other. And they were given the chance to express their feelings toward each other after Guts returned and saved their gang from enemy attack. Is it really possible to nurture a pure relationship in a cruel world? Guts and Casca are fighting their way to prove that it’s possible!
Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist
Is this another boy to boy anime romance? Am I starting to imagine things or is this kind of genre slowly becoming popular? I’m not really against it though. We are all free to love whoever we want. This time around the persons involved are the demon Dantalion and a member of the noble family William Twining. William is the main protagonist of this anime show and is known to be an extreme realist and a brilliant mind. He is a descendant of Solomon and the Elector, someone who is tasked to choose the next King of Hell.
As a realist, he was skeptical about the existence of demons at first but gradually accepted them after several encounters with beings and phenomena that science and logic can’t explain. He made ties with Dantalion in the school he is attending. Although still unconfirmed, William and Dantalion might have mutual feelings for each other.
Dantalion is more expressive as he once said that he wants to stay by William’s side forever.
Hakuouki Hekketsuroku
An anime that highlights swordsmanship and romance; what more can you ask for? The anime show Hakuouki Hekketsuroku offers this unique flavor and as a result successfully gathered a huge number of fan base worldwide. The story revolves around Chizuru Yukimura and her struggles as the newest member of the Shinsengumi. She is the only female member so her early life with the group was not easy. She was tasked to do trivial things Chizuru did not miss any chance to prove her worth. In fact, she caught the attention of Toshizou Hijikata also known as the Demon Vice-Commander. Although the feeling is still one-sided, the two of them being a real couple is not out of the possibility. You might be wondering which part of this anime is demon-related. Well, Chizuru is a member of a clan claimed to be descendants of demons. Her current fighting skills disapprove this but who knows. He might become one of the strongest Shinsengumi members someday and prove that her demonic blood is not mere hearsay.
Overlord
I really can’t help but be excited every time Overlord is included in a list. Isn’t it obvious? It’s currently one of my favorite anime shows. So you’re asking me why? It’s simple. Overlord has everything we want from an anime show. It has an interesting plot, a funny but wise main character, interesting side characters, a vast world setting, and most importantly intense fight scenes. Not to mention the sexy and beautiful Overlord female characters. What more can you ask for? Haven’t I told you it also has a little bit of romance?
The main protagonist Ainz Ooal Gown may not be able to express strong emotions because he is a skeleton but without this, it would be easy for him to reciprocate the love Albedo, the Guardian Overseer, is constantly expressing towards him. They share a unique relationship but since Ainz is incapable of loving, he decided to treat her along with all the NPCs as his own children.
Seraph of the End
What’s wrong about becoming a vampire? It has a lot of benefits if you ask me. You’ll live for an eternity and you don’t have to worry about any kind of sickness. As long as your family and other loved ones are also vampires, you can enjoy life as it is but longer. Yuichiro Hyakuya will never accept this logic. For him, vampires are the enemy of humanity and should be all exterminated. He was once enslaved by vampires during his childhood so having such kind of mindset is not surprising. His childhood friend Mikaela Hyakuya was left during their escape and was turned into an experiment which made him hate vampires even more. They met again several years later but they found themselves on different sides of the war. Is their relationship strong enough to overshadow their present dissimilarities? Can Yuichiro love the existence he hates the most?
Problem Children Are Coming From Another World, Aren't They?
There are a lot of transported to another world anime being developed and released nowadays. Some of them are good but most are mediocre at best. Problem Children are coming from Another World Aren’t They? successfully tweaked the common storyline and made it more interesting. The main protagonist Izayoi Sakamaki has only one goal and that is to have fun. He does so by solving problems instantly through violence and using this brilliant mind as a tactician to overwhelm overconfident adversaries. He is also a pervert and one of his targets is Black Rabbit. She is the one who summoned the problem children from another world. The two of them share a funny relationship. Izayoi won’t ever miss the chance to peek on Black Rabbit whenever she takes a bath. Nevertheless, Black Rabbit seems to trust Izayoi and Yo as companions. Will their wild encounters lead to love? That’s for all of us to find out!

He is acted both as a protagonist and antagonist in this anime show. Whether you’ll see him as a villain or not depends on which perspective you’ll look. Somehow, he provided a direct path in punishing wrongdoers but the fact that he has the ability to kill anyone in an instant makes him a grave threat to humanity. Monkey D Luffy’s dream of becoming the pirate king is slowly turning into reality. He managed to acquire a strong and loyal crew. The straw hat crew started their journey in the grand line with hopeful spirits but they were clueless back then about the enemy they’ll face outright. He is one of the most corrupted members of the Shichibukai, Don Quixote Do Flamingo. For his clan, he is the reliable leader who would do anything for the sake of family and to be a step closer to his ultimate goal. He cares less even a country is destroyed as long as his plans succeed. To many, he is the reincarnation of the devil himself and is the root of their suffering. Even the government is afraid of his twisted personality. He thinks no one as his ally and would turn his blade to anyone who blocks his path regardless of their affinity. This is why Monkey D Luffy and his paths crossed. They are destined to fight to the death because they carry opposite morals and effect to the people around them. Do Flamingo strives in destruction and betrayal while Monkey D Luffy fights for new beginnings and loyalty.
Clowns are often seen in birthday parties entertaining children and making sure they leave the event with a big smile. But even though they dress up to look as colorful and funny as possible, many still fear them. Some consider clowns as their greatest fears and this is not just applicable to children. This fear most likely stemmed from famous horror movies and TV shows which feature a killer clown as the main antagonist. Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter is one of them. Despite being an antagonist, he is surprisingly very popular. He’s definitely evil but there are several points in the anime series where he helped Gon and Killua, the main protagonist of Hunter X Hunter. Although his intentions in doing so are crooked, he still manages to assist them during dire predicaments which makes it hard to entirely hate him. But don’t be too comfortable around him because Hisoka is merciless and would kill anyone including the ones he considered allies in the past just to satisfy his craving for a good fight.
Many would easily forgive after being wronged but not Shishio Makoto. To his defense, the government which he loyally served all his life betrayed and treated him like trash so his vengeance can’t be considered unjustifiable. He was killed and burned to hide government secrets as they try to transition to a new era of peace. However, they fail to consider the resilience of a man who has survived countless death battles. Shishio came out burnt and in the process gained the ability to conjure fire which he can use to heat up his weapon. He can also overheat if used in excessively so it’s basically a double-edged weapon. After being burnt, his role as the government’s assassin was given to the young and naïve Kenshin Himura. They did almost the same acts for the government but followed different path afterward. The two of them cut their ties from the government after realizing that their actions were pointless in attaining real peace. However, Shishio decided to take matters into his hands and create a government that follows his ideals while Kenshin wandered and chose a peaceful way of living away from the sword.
What is true strength? Is it the ability to overpower anyone that challenges you? Or is it measured by how you protect the weak and be irrepressible even against a mightier foe? Toguro sees optimal strength as his sole goal in life. He wants nothing other than to be the strongest. This caused Toguro a lot including his only comrade who treated him more than a friend but a true brother. He crossed path with Yusuke and his friends when he was acting as a bodyguard for a wealthy underground businessman who kidnapped Yukina, Hiei’s sister, for her crystal tears. Yusuke somehow defeated Toguro with the help of Kuwabara during their first encounter. Nevertheless, it can’t really be counted as a win because Toguro was going easy on him and the outcome was what his employer wants. Their second meeting is in an otherworld martial arts tournament. Can Yusuke defeat Toguro if he decides to go all out? If you’ve never watched a single Yu Yu Hakusho episode then you are surely missing half of your life as an anime enthusiast!
Villains are expected to be ruthless and cunning. They are merciless and relentless in coming up with evil plans to either defeat their rival hero or finally attain their most coveted goal; world domination. However, this is not applicable to Team Rocket particularly one of their teams composed of Jessie, James, and Meowth. It is a huge organization which aims to abduct Pokemons and uses them in wrong doings but this team is so bad in their job that they’ve never won an encounter against Ash and his friends even though they’ve been pursuing for several years now. Their failures are the main source of humor in the anime series. It’s entertaining to see Team Rocket blast off every time they are defeated but sometimes I feel bad for them. They do deserve credit for not giving up after countless futile efforts. And I know every Pokemon fan would agree that the Pokemon anime series won’t be complete and will never achieve the fame it is enjoying today without the quirky and funny Team Rocket.
You might be wondering why the main protagonist of the anime series 
Brotherhood is supposed to be eternal. Brothers should not fight but instead, support each other. Yoh Asakura harbors no ill feelings toward his brother Hao Asakura. Nevertheless, he simply can’t work together with his older brother as he plans to rule over the world after acquiring the title “Shaman King”. It is the ultimate dream of every Shaman across the world so everyone is aiming for it with the help of their respective guardian spirits. Hao, the current “Shaman King” is merciless and will easily let his Spirit of Fire consume anyone who would dare cross his path. He also managed to gather strong subordinates making it harder for Yoh to stop his wicked plans. Will Amidamaru, Yoh’s guardian spirit, be strong enough to match Hao’s Spirit of Fire? Can their duo achieve what is thought to be close to impossible, subdue a Grand Elemental Spirit?
The most dangerous villains are not those with inhuman strength or speed but those who are wise and tricky. These villains carefully lay out their plans and make sure they would succeed in the end regardless if certain parties try to stop them or not. Sosuke Aizen belongs to this rare breed of villains. What’s more disturbing is that apart from being clever, he is also strong enough to become a Captain of Squad Five. Ichigo and his gang were left clueless as Aizen’s plan went forward from one phase to another. They only realized that they were all dancing in his palm when it was almost too late. It took Ichigo’s final Shinigami form to defeat Aizen and he had to sacrifice every ounce of his power to do so. After their match, Ichigo was left without any spiritual power turning him into a normal human being. This only proves how powerful and dangerous Aizen is. He cornered Ichigo in a tight spot. Although Ichigo’s appearance in the Shinigami world was a part of his plans, it ended up as its major flaw because he never thought about the possibility of Ichigo becoming strong enough to defeat him.
It is said that pain shapes us. It brings out the diamond hiding within all of us after we overcome it through sheer will and the help of people around us who truly care. But it does not go towards a positive outcome every time. There are also some cases where pain leads a person to the brink of disparity until he loses hope and succumbs to darkness. This is what happened to Pain. Jiraiya, his previous master, tried to save him but it was already too late. He lost every reason to live after witnessing the death of everyone dear to him. Jiraiya was not there to save them so he also held an irreversible grudge towards the only person who tried to reach out to him. It’s truly a sad story but Naruto simply can’t leave Pain be just because of all the sufferings he had to endure. Naruto needs to stop Pain from destroying Konoha. Pain believes that doing so would make him feel better as he considers Konoha as the main reason for his sufferings. Despite Pain’s inclination to evil, in the end, Naruto managed to reach the innermost of his heart. Pain realized that the people who are suffering from his actions has nothing to do with what happened to him before and agreed to undo the destruction and death he caused at the expense of his own life. It’s hard to hate on someone who is chubby and cute. But the Dragonball Z world was left with no choice when Majin Buu was summoned and he started destroying one city after another. Son Goku was not ready to fight him back then because he was still dead so the world was left in the hands of Vegeta, Son Gohan, and the rest of the Z fighters. They were easily defeated by the seemingly indestructible Majin Buu. He might act like a spoiled child but his power is the real deal. Gohan was trained by the Great King Kai to surpass a Super Saiyan but it was still not enough. It was only until Son Goku and Vegeta worked together when they got a fighting chance against Majin Buu. The Kid Buu appeared and trapped the fat Buu inside him. When Son Goku’s Spirit Bomb, carrying the power of everyone on earth, killed Kid Buu, Majin Buu was released and they spared him. He became the new member of the Z fighters and for me, it’s a really good bargain. As a villain, he is merciless and dangerous because he can’t be killed but as an ally, he is loyal and very dependable.
Monsters should be hunted and killed. Anything that is a danger to humanity should be eliminated at once. This is the mindset of the people behind the Commission of Counter Ghoul. They are tasked to investigate cases of Ghoul attacks an act accordingly. Hunting Ghouls is a very dangerous way of living so their best agents are equipped with high-tech weapons known as quinque. Kureo Mado is one of their most renowned members. He successfully hunted down even the most dangerous ghouls with his wits and fighting prowess. Mado might act and look weird but his subordinates respect him. He is so dedicated in eliminating Ghouls to the extent that it has become an obsession. Age and sex won’t matter to him when it comes to Ghouls. He seems them equally as monsters that should be killed on sight without further negotiations. Kureo Mado was killed by Touka when he tried to sneak an attack towards Hinami, the daughter of the Ghoul he killed in cold blood.
Is immortality really a gift or a curse? What’s the point of living forever if you don’t have anyone to spend all this time with? These questions are irrelevant for Naraku, the rival of Inuyasha. He is among the many yokais who was born from the human, Onigumo. He is the one responsible for the death of Kikyo and the seal placed on Inuyasha. He desires the Shikon no Tama, a jewel which could make him the most powerful yokai. Throughout the anime series, he raced with Inuyasha in collecting the shards needed to form the jewel. He successfully completed it later on but he was slain by Inuyasha right after. He transformed into his real form and gained the power he long wanted but his selfish purpose and lack of trustworthy allies made him weak. His failure is a reminder for all of us that no man, or in his case monster, is an island. No matter how rich, powerful, and influential you are, these advantages will always fall short against the existence of real friends and family when it comes to being happy and successful in life.
Science is both amazing and scary. History has already proven that scientific breakthroughs are not just limited to technologies that are beneficial to all humanity. Remember the Atomic Bomb? Science paved a way to its development and it wiped out an entire city in just a few seconds leaving thousands dead and millions sick. This is very similar to what happened in Shingeki No Kyojin. The only difference is that the experiment gone wrong in their situation does not involve bombs but oversized humans who developed an insatiable desire for human flesh. They were referred to as Titans and ever since then humanity has been fighting them off with tall walls and military forces specifically trained to go up against them. These giants are formidable opponents not just because of their size. A few rare ones also have the intellect that can match humans. They are also very agile. One wrong move and you’ll end up inside their belly in an instant. Topped up with their weird body proportion and scary faces, the Titans definitely deserve a spot in this list.
Intimidation is a crucial skill in boxing. Mastering it would make it easier for a boxer to close in an opponent and chop off a huge chunk of his confidence especially during the early rounds. And it does not really require a huge body and a scary face to be good at it. The main ingredients to have an intimidating presence as a boxer are attitude and confidence. He is the second formidable opponent Ippo Makunouchi met next to Miyata, his rival. Ryo’s intimidating presence stems from his desperation to win. He can’t afford to lose because his sister depends on him. He is also willing to do even the nastiest tricks in the books just to grab the win making it seems like is nothing more than a ruthless and merciless wild animal inside the ring. It’s different from his sister though. She sees his brother as a hardworking man who sacrificed everything just to make a living and support her.
It is said that your childhood shapes you and all the experience you’ll gather when you’re just a kid will affect your overall personality as you grow up. Judar is a living proof that this is true. He had a dark past but managed to get out of it and became one of the most powerful Magis in his generation. The bad experiences he had to endure and his absurd ice magic made him arrogant. He is the type of person who would not mind killing bystanders during a fight or using innocent people in his plans. Judar is a villain any hero would not want to face. But is he beyond saving? Like everybody else, there is still hope to redeem Judar. Deep inside him is a boy who simply wants to be cared for and loved. He might violently deny this but Judar’s only wish is to have comrades to fight along with as well as something precious that is worth protecting with his power. Once led towards the right path, Judar has the potential to be a loyal and trustworthy ally.
How can I disregard Zeref Dragneel, the most powerful and evilest Mage in Fairy Tail, while making this list? He is Natsu Dragneel’s big brother and mortal enemy. The organization boasts a wide influence scattered across the globe and their operations vary from manufacture and distribution of illegal drugs, smuggling and dealing of guns, and even assassination. Gin is one of their most loyal and influential high-ranking executives. Despite his rank, he makes sure crucial missions are done smoothly by personally leading his men on the field. He is skilled in both armed and unarmed combat. But probably the most dangerous thing about him is his wit. Gin easily evades police traps and thinks several steps ahead while strategizing. These are the reasons why even the genius Shinichi Kudo can’t catch him or gather enough information about his origin and the current structure of the organization.

There are several types of villain anime characters. Some specialize in pressuring the protagonists with a huge army which they can order to attack at will. Others work alone but boast superior strength and other special abilities which make it almost impossible for the main character to win a duel against them without the help of trusted allies. A few rare ones only rely on their wit and have little to no power on their own. This type of enemy is the hardest to deal with in my opinion. Tomura Shigaraki belongs to this rare breed. Yes, he has the ability to decay anything he touches and has boosted strength and speed but these abilities fall short compared to strong professional heroes in Boku No Hero Academia. What makes him truly dangerous is his ability to command his allies as their leader and strategize. He has no qualms about killing the innocent and involving them in battles just to gain the upper hand.

He had a tough and gentle look a hundred years ago but everything flipped when he accidentally killed Fortuna with the use of Pandora’s Power. They met path with Subaru, the main protagonist in the main series, and he managed to kill Subaru and even infiltrated his body. It took everything going perfectly before he and his crew successfully defeated Petelgeuse.

After defeating the final boss, Kayaba Akihiko, Kirito woke up after more than a year of being trapped inside the game. He immediately searched for the real Asuna but was confused and worried when he found out that she did not wake up like him and the rest of the players. He did his best to solve the puzzle and was able to find hits of Asuna being trapped in another game. And he was right. All along, Asuna was being held captive by Nobuyuki Sugo, the man his family wants her to marry. He plans to further develop the game and weaponize it. And it’s up to Kirito and his new allies to rescue Asuna and stop Sugo from starting another Virtual Reality nightmare.

Hendrickson to be specific turned to his demonic powers just to achieve his selfish goal which is to rule over the land along with the Holy Knights. Mediolas and his group suffered a lot of loses just to subdue Hendrickson in his demon form. But this is a far cry from his personality way back when he was just a loyal knight of the kingdom. He always scolded his comrades who are slacking and is also extremely loyal to his masters. He is gentle, respectful, and just. But people change right? This anime series is to be precise not a transported to another world anime. But then again, it follows the concept of the MC being forced to live in another out worldly dimension. This time around, our hero, Kazuto Kirigaya was trapped in a VRMMO. He is a social outcast who prefers spending most of his free time in games which is why unlike newbies he instantly responded to the problem without being confused and clueless.
The new generation won’t be able to experience the excitement and frustration of waiting, watching, and wanting for more anime every day. Monster Hunter was released when there was still no free online streaming so we have no other option than to patiently watch every episode one day after another. But if you think about it, that’s the exciting part. You’ll have something to look forward to everyday and there are no spoilers since internet social media back then was also non-existent. Going back to Monster Rancher, this anime show tells the story of Genki and his adventures in a new world where monsters rule. Some are friends while others are foes. Genki’s mission along with his newly formed team is to defeat the Monster King and bring peace to the land. The animation may be outdated but this show is truly a must-watch. Classic anime at its finest!

This classic anime is a must-watch especially for those who are into magic, knighthood, heroines, and romance. The three have different personalities and gained unique powers after being transported to another world. Although I have not completely watched this series, most of my girlfriends love it so I’m giving this one the benefit of the doubt.
